written by Joseph Farthing on February 8, 2010

1010 week poster8-14 Feb is time to get involved with practical and educational events and activities to cut our CO2 by 10% in 2010. There’ll be something for everyone with groundbreaking and beautiful films (Home, Age of Stupid), prolific speakers (Our Global Challenges, Hopenhagen or Brokenhagen?), hands-on workshops to learn how to grow food (Allotment Winter Wonderland) and cook it (Cabbage Cruité Ambassador?), mend your clothes (DIY Fair) and mend your bike (Bike Doctor), and plenty of time to have fun (Alleycat) and fall in love (Carbon Speed Dating)!

The week is organised by Transition Edinburgh University, the University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh University Students Association, and People & Planet Society with support from Allotment and Permaculture Society, Cooperative Society, Fair Trade Café Society, Young Greens Society, World Development Movement-Scotland, Napier Conservation Society, and Transition Edinburgh College of Art.

10:10 Week is part of a national week of action in UK unis and colleges, “Go Green Week, supported by People & Planet UK and the National Union of Students.
