Photo by Hasrul Hassan aka amyrol™At the Summer Travel Fair Workshop Jamie Andrews, co-founder of LOCO2, talked about the low carbon travel initiative, traveling by sea and the cheapest low impact travel options.Crossing the ocean on a cargo ship, working as crew member on a yacht, making friends with pearl farmers, and travelling over 3 continents. These were just a few of the topics Jamie touched upon during the workshop.
The other co as in founder of the LOCO2 is Jamie’s sister Kate who actually experienced all of the above.
Thanks to Kate and Jamie’s initiative we can all benefit from Kate’s experience and find out what are the ups and downs of traveling by sea, what’s the best way to get from one continent to another, the best places to visit and how to do all that with at minimum cost and low carbon emissions.
Jamie is currently developing and testing a new feature of the LOCO2 website so that it can offer alternatives on the spot for any desired destination including costs. The journey planner available on the website can easily tell the distance, time length and the carbon emissions of any given journey and it will soon give out the costs as well.
LOCO2 is an amazing FREE resource, your personal smart travel agent that finds the fastest most suitable available routes for any type of journey – whether it’s from the UK to mainland Europe or even further to Asia, United States and even to Australia. You can also find out the cost of train tickets tickets and the types of railcards and journey passes available.
For more information access the LOCO2 website here, run a search and plan your next trip. It’s that easy!
