written by Irina Nedelcu on May 27, 2010There’s a new travel program around called Culture Connect. Taking the train from London to Paris or Brussels guarantees 2 for 1 admission to some of the most famous museums in Europe.
Culture Connect wishes to encourage UK youngsters to travel by train especially to close destinations such as Paris or Brussels. Along with the affordable train rates over the summer they have added a nice plus to the deal: half price access to museums.
In exchange for your train ticket you and a friend get 2 for 1 access to otherwise expensive museums. Culture Connect works fairly easy: you need to be an inbound traveler (that means arriving to Paris or Brussels by train from London), use your train ticket within 5 days after reaching the destination and only one ticket is required for museum admission. You plus a friend gain half price access to a long list of prestigious and quite overpriced museums.
In Paris you can take your pick from: Galeries Nationales du Grand Palais, Musee du Quai Branly, Cite de la Musique, Jeu de Paume, Musee d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris.
Or if you end up in Brussels: The Musical Instrument Museum, Bozar and Royal Museums of Fine Arts.
And that’s not all. Jarvis Cocker is the Arts Ambassador of the Culture Connect Program and until the 31st of May you get the chance to enter an online free prize draw to win 2 tickets to see him and Air play in Paris (train tickets included).
To find out more about this initiative just access Eurostar’s Culture Connect page.
