Represent Edinburgh University at the Transition Network Gathering

Saturday 12 – Monday 14 June, Seale Hayne, Devon

This June is the Transition Network Gathering for groups from across Britain and the world. The weekend will include a plethora of activities including open space, inspiring workshops, skill shares, project shares, networking, entertainment, food, and lots of meaningful fun and frivolity! It’s our best opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with other Transition towns, cities and universities, and we want to be there in force to share ideas and build links. It’ll be held at the old Seale Hayne College with lovely buildings, loads of room, fantastic catering facilities, woods and gardens, and on-site accommodation.

Transition interns at the Summer Gathering in 2009

Set in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside, the Summer Gathering gives students the skills that will allow them to run brilliant effective campaigns and activities on environmental and social justice issues at their University next year. Workshops will include permaculture, facilitation skills, media skills, open space, Transition Universities, campaign planning, fundraising and more! As well as excellent training, the event has a relaxed festival feel with plenty of campfires, live music, team building and time to meet people involved with People & Planet across the UK. The venue is fully accessible with bunk beds and camping space as well as showers, an obstacle course, and woodland!
