Local Veg Bag Sale: Main Library, 3-6pm, Tuesday 9th November.

Need something tasty for dinner? Some organic, cheap, incredibly fresh veg? Want to buy some local produce but don’t know where to go?


Never fear! The TEU VegBag is here! Filled with lovely fresh produce from Damhead farms, our VegBags are an easy way to get your five a day without having to head to Tesco. Plus they’re cheap, convenient and delicious. There’ll be a hearty selection of local Scottish veg, and we’ll be selling the bags for £4. Come along on your way home and have a look…

While this is only a pilot program, if we get a good enough response, we’ll try to make it a regular thing. So come one, come all and buy some lovely cheap veg from on Tuesday Nov 9th from 3-6pm outside the Main Library

All vegetables supplied by Damhead Organic Farm (www.damhead.co.uk) which also give a 25% discount to Edinburgh University students on all their fruit and veg.

Winners of the Travel Photography Competition!

We’re pleased to announce that Maeve Regan won the Transition Travel Photography Competition, with a photo of herself in a ballgown on the top of Scafell Pike in the Lake District. She has won a week in at the beautiful Taigh Foise Eco Croft cottage on the Isle of Mull.

Brett Matulis was our runner up with a picture taken while diving in the Turks and Caicos. He has won tickets for two to the Scottish Seabird Centre in North Berwick and two tickets for the Bass Rock Seafari Boat Trip.
