On Wednesday 21st September, 7.45pm at George Square Lecture Theatre, climate change and arts film “Burning Ice” will be shown to launch Global Challenges, a new series of extra-curricular events to engage the University of Edinburgh community with the challenges facing our world.

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring Andrew Ormston (Drew Wylie Ltd, Local Landscapes), Philippa Faulkner (EUSA), and Sheila Kambobe (SCIAF), chaired by Andy Kerr, the Director of the new Edinburgh Centre on Climate Change. There will also be an opportunity to meet local and University-based groups taking action on climate change and other global issues, as well as a stunning photographic exhibition to view.
