Working with and for staff
Transition isn’t just for students. We’re proud to work with and help lots of support and academic staff at our University, whether it’s by offering practical home energy advice, running and supporting courses, publicising research, or just helping to spread our message across the campus and beyond.
What is Transition?
We’re funded by the Scottish Government to reduce the personal impact of students and staff at The University of Edinburgh. We’re based in Estates and Buildings and sit on University committees, but we’re charged with talking to staff and students about what they can do in their personal lives to make a difference.
What can I do?
Save money
High energy bills? Why not work out what you can do to cut your bills over a cup of tea or coffee? Our volunteer energy advisors are trained in collaboration with the Energy Saving Trust and can offer personalised advice, either by visiting your home, or at an Energy Advice Clinic in your area.

You’re invited to take part in Carbon Conversations, a series of 5 discussions in a small group designed to help you kick start your low carbon life.
