What’s the Big Green Makeover?

We want to help students and staff to make their homes warmer, more cosy and cheaper to live in.

We offer:

• Home Visits
  Our Volunteer Advisers can visit student and staff homes to provide tailored advice on saving energy, water and minimising waste over a FREE DOMINO’S PIZZA! Check out the video to see what you can expect.

• Energy Saving Advice Clinics
  Live far away from University or prefer to have a chat during your working day? Over the next few months we will host Energy Saving Advice Clinics in various buildings and areas across the University. Find out more.

• Workshops
  Why not attend an interactive workshop to give you the knowledge and skills to make your home warmer, more comfortable and more sustainable.

• Volunteering opportunities
  Want to become one of our trained volunteer advisers or help with running the project? Gain lots of experience and new skills through volunteering with the Big Green Makeover!

• Wiki Knowledge Base
  We want to build up a bank of knowledge of what students and staff living, studying and working in Edinburgh can do to make their homes warmer and cheaper to live in.
