What can you expect?
We want to help you make as many changes as possible to save energy and money off your bills. To support you every step of the way, we will arrange for a pair of trained Volunteer Advisers to visit your home and guide your household through the Big Green Makeover process.
They will help you to reflect on how you use energy in your home and implement practical changes to make your home warmer and more comfortable. If you’re renting, they will also help you work with your landlord to make even bigger energy savings. Where needed, they can also refer you to services provided by your local council and Energy Saving Scotland advice centre.
The Big Green Makeover process involves three stages that will will help you to:
- Pre-Visit Questionnaire: Identify areas where savings could be made in your home (15mins)
- Home Visit: Get a sense of your real-time energy usage with an energy monitor and start making some of the practical changes in your home (~1 hour)
- Follow up: Help you reflect on changes made and decide next steps (15mins)
