Students working towards Sustainable Food
At the University of Edinburgh there is a group of creative volunteers passionate about fair, sustainable, nourishing food. Over the past few years they been working towards implementing changes to the availability of good food at their University.

Selling Local, Organic Veg Bags on Campus

The Hearty Squirrel Food Cooperative now runs a popular on-campus veg bag sale. All the veggies are seasonal, locally grown, organic.. and we get them for a reduced price from a great local farm so they are affordable too! More details…
Running an ethical Food Cooperative
If you want to get your hands on affordable wholefoods for your flat then look no further! This cooperative is a participatory way to buy your food – by joining the coop you can get cost-price wholefoods and be part of a voluntary team making it happen. The Hearty Squirrel now runs a stall at the EUSA shop at Potterow on Mondays. More details…
