University Footprints, Community Handprints Event
In March 2010 people from 12 universities attended a day of workshops and discussion at Edinburgh about students and staff using practical projects to make our Universities fit for the future.
The event, organised by NUS Scotland, People & Planet, and Transition Edinburgh University looked at questions like “how can University green projects work together”, “how to get funding for practical projects”, and showcased ideas such as People & Planet’s Going Greener campaign.

Transition Edinburgh University Funding Bid
A brief summary of how we went about gaining funding for our work is described in our “Footprints & Handprints” report. We provide our full Climate Challenge Fund application, submitted in September 2009, in order to be transparent in our work and as a potential resource for other organisations. We do however strongly recommend you first read about the bid in the report, or get in touch with us, before delving into our full bid.
