An Engagement Strategy for Transition Edinburgh University
In Semester 2 2009-10, the Masters course “Participation in Policy and Planning” (contact Roger Sidaway) undertook as their course project to build an engagement strategy for Transition. Their plan, based on interviews with those inside and out of Transition Edinburgh University, highlights key problems and recommendations to address them.
They presented their plan to stakeholders at the Scottish Parliament on 16 March 2010, and you can click the links to download their report and presentation.
University Footprints, Community Handprints Event
In March 2010 people from 12 universities attended a day of workshops and discussion at Edinburgh about students and staff using practical projects to make our Universities fit for the future.
The event, organised by NUS Scotland, People & Planet, and Transition Edinburgh University looked at questions like “how can University green projects work together”, “how to get funding for practical projects”, and showcased ideas such as People & Planet’s Going Greener campaign.

Transition Edinburgh University Funding Bid
A brief summary of how we went about gaining funding for our work is described in our “Footprints & Handprints” report. We provide our full Climate Challenge Fund application, submitted in September 2009, in order to be transparent in our work and as a potential resource for other organisations.
